The FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar is generating more excitement as the competition moves into the knockout rounds. It has been a fun World Cup  fixtures thus far on the field, despite the uncertainties around a winter World Cup and concerns about the host nation, human rights, and LGBTQ+ issues.

World Cup fixtures : Despite having zero victories in their previous six games and scoring just four goals, England’s pre-tournament record, Gareth Southgate and his team have advanced past Group B. The team had to work hard against Wales in the final group match after defeating Iran 6-2 in their opening match.

But in the end, they completed the work easily. The Three Lions easily defeated Wales to take first position in Group B and book their spot in the round of 16.
Before that match against Wales, the Three Lions knew who they would play in the round of 16, should they advance. Finishing first or second in the group or being eliminated entirely were both possibilities.

With two victories and a tie from their three games, Netherlands finished first in Group A. Senegal, an African country, followed them and beat Ecuador 2-1 to take second place ahead of their South American rivals.
