(AP) SEATTLE — Canucks vs Kraken The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Seattle Kraken 5-4 on Thursday night to snap their season-opening losing run, which had lasted a franchise-record seven games. Ilya Mikheyev scored his first two goals of the year in the victory.

Boudreau becomes the fifth active coach to reach 600 victories and the 22nd coach in NHL history (600-322-127). The only person with a higher points percentage than Boudreau (.657) is former Detroit Red Wings coach Scotty Bowman (.657).
